The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has released a document highlighting inflation rate in Bangladesh, showing that inflation in Bangladesh reached 8.55% in July, higher then previous three mounth.
The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics reveals the document which shows that Bangladesh average inflation rate was 11.16% in July 2024 which started to decline Gradually from march 2025 to june 2025. The document shows that in march the rising prices rate was 9.35% which started to decline up to 9.17% in April, 9.05% in May and 8.48% in June. But in July 2025 breaking a three-month easing streak and pr started to rise.
Bangladesh’s central bank has set a target inflation rate of 6.5% for fiscal year 2026. The report also shows that food inflation rose 7.39% to 7.56% in June this year. Which is totally opposite to the previous couple of months.The report also shows that non -food inflation rate also rose a little from 9.37% to 9.38%.
The reports show that the food inflation was below 14.10% but the rising rate put pressure on the daily market. And According to The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) report , inflation is constantly increasing in both rural and urban areas, which is the matter of concern for the Bangladeshi People and the goverment.
